Drawing is the thing I always feel easy with... I've done it all my life even though there was never any formal instruction. I 'grew up' in Australia and returned to the UK at 17. Studied Architecture [Portsmouth] and graduated with BA Arch and Diploma Arch.

Frustrated with the lack of creative opportunity in this medium, I steered into jewellery and sculpture. The jewellery was mainly silver and gold representations of european Baroque architectural facades; and the sculpture primarily for television productions. I became more involved with the tv work by assisting in the design of sets, as well as supervising the construction and filming,

All these activities involved my ability to draw, and as time passes I allow it to become the main activity.

A loose sketchy cartoon style is my favourite......I don't like to labour on a drawing too long, as it loses its soul. So I tend to do several images quickly and choose the best, rather than work slowly on one.

I live in the north west of England with my wife and son.
